Editorial standards

Clear evidence. Original analysis. Visible accountability.

Evidence before claims

We distinguish announcements from orders, trials from operational deployment, and claimed performance from independently measured results. Numbers need context: the period, conditions, source and relevant limitations. An inference or forecast is identified as analysis, not established fact.

Attribution and original work

Our articles explain the significance of developments in our own words. Supporting sources are linked in the text and references. Quotations remain attributed. We do not present another publication’s reporting as our own interviews, fieldwork or discovery.

Fairness and uncertainty

We represent material evidence and competing explanations fairly. Critical coverage should address what the evidence shows, give relevant responses appropriate context, and avoid imputing motives without substantiation.

Ownership and conflicts

Relevant commercial relationships and contributor affiliations should be disclosed alongside coverage. A company’s relationship with the publisher is not evidence that its products outperform alternatives.

News, analysis and sponsorship

Analysis and opinion are labeled. Paid material must be clearly marked as sponsored and identify the sponsor wherever it appears. Payment must not be presented as independent editorial endorsement or purchase a favorable conclusion.

Corrections

Send the article address, disputed passage and supporting evidence to [email protected]. We review the record and correct factual errors. Substantive corrections should carry a dated note describing what changed; minor spelling and formatting fixes need not.

AI-assisted production

This edition was prepared with AI-assisted research, drafting, design and editing. AI output is not a source of evidence. Published claims must be checked against supporting material, and errors remain the publication’s responsibility. AI-assisted analysis must not be represented as first-hand reporting.
